If you have neck, back or even hip pain, it could be coming from a lack of mobility in your T-spine . Your spine needs to be mobile in all 3⃣ planes of motion. Our body is smart and will find a way to get that motion from somewhere else. Those areas of compensation might lead to poor movement patterns, overuse and pain . The first plane of motion we are focusing on is EXTENSION. In PART 1 we do our work with a foam roller so follow along… . 1⃣ Roll out your back for 1 minute fairly quickly 2⃣ Start with the roller at the top of your shoulder blades 3⃣ ❌ your arms and extend over the roller 4⃣ Move 1/2 inch down the spine and extend again 5⃣ Work segmentally to the bottom of your T-spine then back up to the top 6⃣ It’s okay to pause into the extension and allow your spine to relax over the roller . . Cat / Cow or / is a great way to increase your thoracic extension. I have a great modification to really focus on the Tspine. . Give me a or of you want that to be part 2 tomorrow❗ . Thanks for following! I hit 23K today! . . . . . . . . . #extentions #tspine #flexible #flexibility #mobility #exercises #training #foamroll #foamrolling #massagetherapy #toronto #physiotherapy #chiropractic #rehab #prehab #la #nyc #yogaeveryday #pilateslovers #yoga #pilates #catcow #myotspineseries
